The Aegean Regatta

The Aegean Regatta is an annual offshore sailing race through the islands of the eastern Aegean, organised by the Greek state and held without interruption since 2001. The 25th edition sails from 22 to 28 August 2026, starting from Limnia on Chios and finishing at Marathokampos on Samos.

The Aegean Regatta is an annual offshore sailing race through the islands of the eastern Aegean, organised by the General Secretariat of the Aegean and Island Policy of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Island Policy, in cooperation with the Offshore Sailing Committee of the Hellenic Sailing Federation. First held in 2001, it has run without interruption each summer since. The 25th edition sails from 22 to 28 August 2026.

The 2026 course departs from Limnia, the port of Volissos on the north-west coast of Chios, and passes through Fournoi and Agathonisi before finishing at Marathokampos on Samos, where inshore racing closes the week. Yachts compete under ORC and IRC handicaps.

The Aegean Regatta is one of three offshore races held in Greek waters each summer, alongside the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club’s Aegean 600 in early July and the International Aegean Sailing Rally in late July.
