The Greek Revolution Regatta
The 54th Greek Revolution Regatta is expected in late March 2027 — HORC's annual offshore race from Faliro to Hydra and back, timed to the 25 March national day.
The Greek Revolution Regatta is HORC’s annual offshore sailing race across the Saronic Gulf, run since 1973 and timed each year to the 25 March national day. The 54th edition is expected in late March 2027; HORC schedules the race on the weekend nearest to 25 March.
The course covers two legs: approximately thirty-five nautical miles south from Faliro to Hydra, then thirty-six nautical miles back to the mainland, with the fleet passing through the narrow corridor between Hydra and the Peloponnesian coast. Boats race in two divisions, Performance and Sport. Recent editions have drawn upward of sixty crews, with foreign participants. The car-free harbour of Hydra serves as the shore base for the racing weekend.
