The Spetses Classic Yacht Regatta is the Yacht Club of Greece’s annual regatta for classic and traditional sailing craft, raced in the waters of the Argosaronic Gulf off Spetses. Founded in 2011 and held each June under the auspices of the Municipality of Spetses, it brings classic yachts, traditional Greek caiques and lateen-rigged boats to the same racecourse. The 2027 edition is expected in mid-June; the organisers publish the exact dates ahead of each running.
The regatta draws over 75 boats and more than 400 crew from Greece and abroad. The pairing of restored classic hulls with working island rigs at a single event is described by the organisers as an international innovation, and the fleet races in separate classes for classic boats, traditional caiques and lateens.
Recent editions ran from 27 to 30 June 2024, from 26 to 28 June 2025, and from 17 to 20 June 2026, when the regatta marked 15 years since its first running. The Poseidonion Grand Hotel on the Spetses waterfront supports the event and provides the backdrop to the racing.
