The Saronic Chamber Music Festival is an annual chamber music festival held across four harbours of the Saronic Gulf, with the Leondari Ensemble performing six concerts from 25 to 30 August 2026 at venues on Hydra, Poros, Galatas and Methana.

The Saronic Chamber Music Festival is an annual chamber music festival organised by the Leondari Ensemble, with a different concert venue each evening across four harbours of the Saronic Gulf. The ensemble was founded by the Greek violinist Jannis Agraniotis and the Australian violist Francis Kefford, with the German pianist Caspar Frantz as artistic advisor. The 2026 edition runs from 25 to 30 August under the auspices of the municipalities of Galatas, Hydra and Poros.

The 2026 itinerary opens at the Tombazis Estate in Galatas, then moves to Syggrou on Poros, the Melina Merkouri hall on Hydra, the Katheti cultural centre on Poros, and the Old Carpet Factory on Hydra, before closing at Kameni Chora on Methana. The musicians include the concertmaster of American Ballet Theatre alongside colleagues from the Komische Oper Berlin and the London Symphony Orchestra.

The 2026 programme includes Schubert’s String Quintet in C major, Caroline Shaw’s Limestone and Felt, Kodály’s Duo for violin and cello, and Mozart’s Piano Concerto K. 414. The twelfth edition of the festival was held in 2024. Kathimerini described the ensemble’s music-making as combining “knowledge, passion and respect”.
