Rockwave Festival

Rockwave Festival marked 30 years in 2025 with four nights at Terra Vibe Park in Malakasa, from 10 to 14 July, headlined by King Diamond, Alice Cooper, Cypress Hill with Kneecap, and W.A.S.P.

Rockwave Festival is an annual rock festival held at Terra Vibe Park in Malakasa, on the Athens to Lamia national road north of Athens. The first Rockwave took place in 1996, and the 2025 edition marked the festival’s 30th anniversary. The main run at Terra Vibe took four nights, on 10, 11, 13 and 14 July 2025, and was presented by the promoter Xlalala.

King Diamond headlined the opening night on 10 July, with Paradise Lost on the same bill. Alice Cooper followed on 11 July, with Floor Jansen and Zeal & Ardor. On 13 July Cypress Hill shared the top of the bill with the Irish trio Kneecap, who were playing Greece for the first time. W.A.S.P. closed the run on 14 July, with Skyclad and the Greek band Anorimoi.

For the anniversary, Xlalala billed a longer programme under the Rockwave name, from 9 June to 8 September 2025 across Attica and northern Greece. Dionysis Savvopoulos played Terra Vibe on 14 June, with Alkinoos Ioannidis as his guest. A new second site, Terra Republic near Pydna in Pieria, held a three-night run from 26 to 28 June that opened with Opeth and closed with Savatage. The Lycabettus Theatre in Athens and Moni Lazariston in Thessaloniki hosted further single nights.
