Release Athens

Release Athens is an annual summer music festival in Attica, launched in 2016 and promoted by Fuzz Productions. The 2027 edition is the first at the Markopoulo Complex, on the Markopoulo Olympic property, after a decade at Plateia Nerou in Faliro. Two nights are announced so far, and the rest of the lineup is still to be announced.

The Neighbourhood play the Markopoulo Complex on Friday 25 June 2027, their first concert in Greece. The Californian band formed in 2011, and their single “Sweater Weather”, from the 2013 debut album I Love You., ranks among the three most-streamed tracks in Spotify’s history. For the festival the complex sets up two stages, the second inside a 4,000 sq m tent.

Tokio Hotel play on Wednesday 7 July 2027 at ERGOSTASIO35, a new venue at 35A Pireos Street in Athens with a capacity of 5,500 and a partly retractable roof. The night is part of the band’s Summer Encore 2027 European tour and their first concert in Greece in many years. Their seventh studio album, Encore, is due on 16 October 2026.
