Megaron Spring Festival

The Megaron Spring Festival is an annual week of recitals and dance at the Athens Concert Hall; the 2027 edition is scheduled for early April 2027, with the programme to be published towards the end of summer 2026.

The Megaron Spring Festival is an annual week of recitals, concerto cycles, and dance held each spring at Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall on Vasilissis Sofias Avenue. The festival has run since 2022. The 2027 edition is scheduled for early April; dates are published with the 2026–27 programme towards the end of summer. Previous editions were held from 1 to 9 April in 2023 and 8 to 14 April in 2025.

The 2026 edition ran from 17 March to 3 April and featured two complete concerto cycles: Kiril Gerstein conducting and performing all five Beethoven piano concertos with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, and Denis Kozhukhin in the complete Rachmaninoff concertos with the Athens State Orchestra. The 2026 programme also included the Greek premiere of Rufus Wainwright’s Dream Requiem under Mikko Franck with the ERT National Symphony Orchestra, and a guest residency by the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève in choreography by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. The 2025 edition featured Joyce DiDonato, Igor Levit, and the Ballet Preljocaj.

The Athens Concert Hall, opened in 1991 and run by the Athens Concert Hall Organisation, is Athens’s principal address for symphonic and recital programming.
