Windows is a two-part exhibition by Rosalind Nashashibi, held from 17 September to 25 October 2025 across ARCH and the Melas Martinos house in Monastiraki, Athens. Nashashibi, born in Croydon in 1973 to a Palestinian father and a Northern Irish mother and based in London, works in 16mm film and painting. Her films move between documentary and speculative registers, and paintings recur as elements within her films. She was the first woman to win the Beck’s Futures Prize in 2003, was nominated for the Turner Prize in 2017, represented Scotland at the Venice Biennale, and in 2019 became the first artist in residence at the National Gallery in London.
ARCH is an independent non-profit arts organisation founded in Athens in 2019 by Atalanti Martinou. It runs a residency programme several times a year alongside exhibitions, workshops, and lectures. For Windows, ARCH paired its own space with Melas Martinos, the antiques house and gallery in the old quarter of the city. The exhibition opened during the mid-September week when several Athens galleries hold simultaneous openings, including Art Athina at the Zappeion.
