The Private Kitchen
The Private Kitchen is the chef's-table venue at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino, which has staged a season of dinners by visiting Michelin-starred chefs in each of the past two years; the series is expected to return when the resort reopens in spring 2027.
The Private Kitchen is a chef’s-table dining venue at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino, on Navarino Bay in Messenia, in the southwest Peloponnese. Guests are seated at a counter overlooking an open kitchen, where the resort’s executive chef Bertrand Valegeas cooks on Friday and Saturday evenings. The counter’s season of dinners by visiting Michelin-starred chefs is expected to return when the resort reopens from its winter closure in spring 2027.
The series has run in each of the past two seasons. The 2026 season, opened on 31 March 2026, brought three chefs holding three Michelin stars each: Frédéric Anton of Le Pré Catelan in Paris, Julien Royer of Odette in Singapore, and Arnaud Lallement of L’Assiette Champenoise near Reims. The 2025 season, opened on 10 April 2025, staged dinners by Andreas Caminada, Maxime Gilbert, Julien Royer and Pascal Barbot.
Mandarin Oriental has not yet published a reopening date or guest-chef line-up for 2027. In the past two years the resort has reopened between late March and mid-April, and the visiting chefs are named with the seasonal programme. The Private Kitchen is one of nine dining venues at the property.
