The Great Days of Nemea

The Great Days of Nemea (Megales Meres Nemeas) is an annual wine festival in Nemea, Corinthia, organised by the Association of PDO Nemea Winemakers; the twenty-second edition is expected over the first weekend of September 2026.

The Great Days of Nemea — Megales Meres Nemeas — is the annual wine festival of the Nemea appellation, held over the first weekend of September in the Corinthia region of the Peloponnese. It is organised by the Association of PDO Nemea Winemakers with the Municipality of Nemea. The twenty-second edition is expected over the first weekend of September 2026; the association confirms the precise dates closer to the harvest.

PDO Nemea was delimited in 1971 and is reserved for red wines made from the native Agiorgitiko variety alone. The appellation spreads across seventeen villages of Corinthia and the Argolid, covering some three thousand hectares of vineyard rising from 200 to 850 metres, with differences of style between the valley floor and the high slopes. The programme runs to a settled pattern: open winery days across the zone, themed tastings and masterclasses, and an opening evening of music and wine in the town. The 2025 sessions were led by Master of Wine Konstantinos Lazarakis, with tastings including wines from Gaia Wines and Domaine Skouras.
