The Great Days of Nemea

The Great Days of Nemea (Megales Meres Nemeas) is an annual wine festival in Nemea, given to Agiorgitiko and the largest red-wine appellation in Greece. The twenty-first edition ran 5 to 7 September 2025, opened by the Angels' Symposium.

The Great Days of Nemea — Megales Meres Nemeas — is the annual wine festival of the Nemea appellation, held across the first weekend of September in the Corinthia region of the Peloponnese. It is organised by the Nemea Wine Producers’ Association with the Municipality of Nemea. The twenty-first edition ran from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 September 2025.

The festival is given almost entirely to Agiorgitiko, the deep-coloured red variety known in Greek as the blood of Hercules. Agiorgitiko fills roughly four-fifths of the Nemea vineyard and anchors the largest red-wine appellation in the country, planted between two hundred and eight hundred metres above the Corinthian plain. The 2025 programme opened with the Angels’ Symposium, a tasting set against live orchestra and projection, and ran through a rosé Agiorgitiko tasting, a flight of aged PDO Nemea wines, a Kydonitsa masterclass, and pairings led by sommeliers across the participating wineries.

The Association is based in the town at Dervenakion. Several of the named sessions sell out before the festival opens; the dates fall shortly before the September harvest.
