Lucia di Lammermoor
Lucia di Lammermoor is a production of Donizetti's opera by the Greek National Opera, staged at the Stavros Niarchos Hall from 6 April to 11 May 2025 in Katie Mitchell's Royal Opera House production with Jessica Pratt in the title role.
Lucia di Lammermoor is Donizetti’s bel canto opera, staged by the Greek National Opera at the Stavros Niarchos Hall from 6 April to 11 May 2025. The production is by the British director Katie Mitchell, first seen at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, in which the tragedy runs as two simultaneous scenes on a split stage. Lukas Karytinos conducted; Robin Tebbutt directed the revival.
The Australian soprano Jessica Pratt sang the title role in the opening performances, with Vassiliki Karayanni taking the later dates. Ismael Jordi and Yannis Christopoulos alternated as Edgardo; Dionysios Sourbis sang Enrico. The production runs close to three hours including a single interval. The Stavros Niarchos Hall is the opera house within the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre at Faliro, designed by Renzo Piano.
