The Golden Age

The Golden Age is a ballet production by the Greek National Opera Ballet, conceived, choreographed and designed by Konstantinos Rigos, director of the GNO Ballet. It received five performances at the Stavros Niarchos Hall on 9, 10, 14, 16 and 17 May 2025. The score, by Ted Regklis, draws on operatic excerpts, Greek song and rock and jazz of the 1960s and 1970s. The piece runs eighty minutes without interval.

The world premiere was held at the Belgrade Dance Festival on 12 April 2025, the first co-production between the GNO Ballet and the Serbian festival. A grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation supported the international co-production. The Stavros Niarchos Hall is one of two opera and ballet stages within the Renzo Piano–designed Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre on Faliro Bay.
