The Chrysoi Skoufoi Awards
The Chrysoi Skoufoi (Golden Toques) are Athinorama's annual awards for the best restaurants in Greece; the 34th ceremony, a gala dinner in Athens, is expected in early March 2027.
The Chrysoi Skoufoi (Golden Toques) are Athinorama’s annual awards for the best restaurants in Greece, presented each year at a gala dinner in Athens. The Athens magazine has awarded the toques since 1994, rating restaurants across the country on a 20-point scale; a rating of 15 or above earns a toque. The 34th ceremony is expected in early March 2027; Athinorama has not yet published the date or venue.
The 33rd ceremony was held on Monday 9 March 2026 at the Grand Hyatt Athens, where 45 Golden Toques were presented to chefs and restaurateurs from across Greece and the gala dinner was cooked by the chefs Athenagoras Kostakos and Vasilis Mouratidis. Etrusco, Ettore Botrini’s restaurant on Corfu, was rated the best restaurant in Greece at 17 of 20, its 14th consecutive year at the head of the list.
Alongside the toques, Athinorama presents the Top Notch distinction to restaurants whose ratings approach the threshold; 19 received it in 2026. The 2026 list ranged across the country, with 17 of the awarded restaurants in Athens and the rest spread from the Aegean islands to the Ionian.
