The Vergos Fall Sale

Vergos Auctions' autumn sale of Modern Greek Art was held online live from Athens on 30 September 2025 — 140 works with starting prices from €200, led by Tsarouchis and Fassianos, with Niki de Saint Phalle among the highlights.

The Vergos Fall Sale is Vergos Auctions’ annual autumn auction of Modern Greek Art, conducted online live from Athens with telephone and written bids taken alongside. The 2025 edition was held on Tuesday 30 September at six in the evening. The catalogue carried 140 works with starting prices from €200. Yannis Tsarouchis and Alekos Fassianos led the names, with Spyros Vassiliou, Alexis Akrithakis, Takis, Diamantis Diamantopoulos and Giorgos Rorris through the catalogue, and Niki de Saint Phalle among the highlights — a non-Greek presence in a sale otherwise given to the Greek twentieth century.

The 2024 autumn auction fell on 26 September, drawing on 86 artists across painting, sculpture and the decorative arts in the same online-live form. Founded in 1989, Vergos is the largest and longest-running auction house in Greece. The Fall Sale opens the collecting season ahead of the December auction of nineteenth- and twentieth-century Greek painting and sculpture.
