The Samos Young Artists Festival

The Samos Young Artists Festival is the Schwarz Foundation's annual music festival at the Ancient Theatre of Pythagorion — an open-air stage above the Aegean on the southern shore of Samos. The 15th edition ran from 7 to 13 August 2025, presenting seven evening concerts of emerging classical musicians under the artistic direction of Masha Ilyashov and Timotheos Gavriilidis-Petrin.

The Samos Young Artists Festival is the Schwarz Foundation’s annual music festival, held at the Ancient Theatre of Pythagorion on the southern shore of Samos, Greece. The 15th edition ran from 7 to 13 August 2025, presenting seven concerts — one each evening at nine o’clock — under the artistic direction of Masha Ilyashov and Timotheos Gavriilidis-Petrin. The festival focuses on emerging classical musicians drawn from different countries and traditions.

The Ancient Theatre of Pythagorion is an open-air stage set above the sea on the southern shore of Samos, overlooking the strait toward the Anatolian coast. Pythagorion is the birthplace of Pythagoras. The Schwarz Foundation also operates Art Space Pythagorion on the island and has run a children’s and youth choir on Samos since 2016.
