Sani Festival
The Sani Festival is Sani Resort's open-air music festival on Sani Hill in Halkidiki, founded in 1992 and the largest privately organised festival in Greece. The 2027 edition opens in early July and runs on successive Saturday nights into August.
The Sani Festival is an open-air music festival staged each summer on Sani Hill at Sani Resort, on the Kassandra peninsula of Halkidiki. Stavros and Niki Andreadis founded it in 1992 with three days of jazz; the programme has since widened to pop, rock, soul, classical and musical theatre, and it is the largest privately organised festival in Greece. The 2027 edition opens in early July and runs on successive Saturday nights into August.
The stage stands on the hill above the resort’s marina, against the backdrop of a medieval tower. More than 400 concerts, performances and events have been held there since 1992, with over 1,800 artists appearing, among them the jazz musicians Jan Garbarek, Kenny Barron and Branford Marsalis.
Recent seasons have each run six or seven Saturdays from July into August. The 2024 edition ran from 6 July to 10 August and opened with Plácido Domingo, with Tom Jones on 20 July. The 2025 edition ran from 12 July to 23 August and presented Norah Jones, Gloria Gaynor and Grace Jones. The 2026 edition ran from 11 July to 15 August, opened by Robert Plant with Saving Grace and closed by Vicky Leandros.
The festival aligns with ISO 20121, the international standard for sustainable event management, in a programme run with TÜV Austria Hellas, and it was the first music festival in Greece to make that commitment. It operates carbon neutral on 100% renewable electricity, with single-use plastics eliminated from the concert venue and guests moved by electric vehicle.
