The Camerata–Friends of Music Orchestra performed two Mozart concertante works on period instruments at the Megaron on 2 November 2025: the Concerto for Two Pianos K. 365 and the Concerto for Flute and Harp K. 299, played on an 1802 harp and replica fortepianos.

The Camerata–Friends of Music Orchestra performed an evening of Mozart on period instruments at the Megaron on 2 November 2025, on the Alexandra Trianti stage. The programme comprised two concertante works: the Concerto for Two Pianos in E-flat major, K. 365, and the Concerto for Flute and Harp in C major, K. 299. The instruments used were an 1802 harp and replica fortepianos built after instruments Mozart himself played, rather than the modern concert grand.

The Camerata is the resident orchestra of the Friends of Music Society, the body that governs the Megaron’s musical seasons. The fortepiano has a lighter touch and quicker decay than the modern grand piano, altering the dynamic balance of Classical-era works.
