Ioulia Karapataki at the Theatro Gis

Ioulia Karapataki played the Theatro Gis in Thessaloniki on Tuesday 1 September 2026, as part of the 12th Forest Festival of the State Theatre of Northern Greece.

Ioulia Karapataki at the Theatro Gis was a single concert in Thessaloniki on Tuesday 1 September 2026, within the 12th Forest Festival that the State Theatre of Northern Greece ran from May to September. It was one of the summer dates the singer gave between June and September, after a winter of concerts in Athens and Thessaloniki, appearances beside Socratis Malamas, and concerts in Europe and Australia.

The programme mixed laika songs from her repertoire, new songs she was then recording, and the songs Socratis Malamas and Odysseas Ioannou wrote for her. Her band was Agis Papapanagiotou on guitars, Kalogiannis Veranis on violin and trumpet, Marios Dimitropoulos on keyboards, Michalis Darmas on double bass, Kostas Spyratos on drums and Christos Anastasiadis on gaida and clarinet. Novel Vox produced the concert.

The Theatro Gis is an open-air theatre of 4,332 seats, built in 1998 in a former quarry at Triandria to designs by the architect Manos Perrakis. The Public Power Corporation was the festival’s main sponsor.
