The Greek Maritime Golf Event
The eleventh Greek Maritime Golf Event was played on Friday 5 September 2025 at the Glyfada Golf Course "K. Karamanlis", drawing representatives of more than eighty shipping companies in support of Floga, the association for parents of children with cancer.
The Greek Maritime Golf Event is the shipping community’s annual golf tournament, held each September in Athens. It is organised by Birdie Events, an initiative of the Greek PGA professional Thanos Karantzias, with production by ActiveMedia Group. The eleventh edition was played on Friday 5 September 2025 at the Glyfada Golf Course “K. Karamanlis”, the par-72, eighteen-hole course on the Athens coast, drawing representatives of more than eighty shipping companies.
The format is a four-ball scramble in teams of four, with the two best scores counting on each hole, and a golf clinic running alongside. The 2025 edition gave its support to Floga, the association of parents of children with cancer, for the third consecutive year at Glyfada.
The event has been held each September since 2015. The tenth-anniversary edition in September 2024 was played at Costa Navarino in Messinia, where more than ninety maritime executives formed twenty-three teams across the resort’s courses.
