Giannis Kotsiras at the Theatro Dasous

Giannis Kotsiras at the Theatro Dasous was the Thessaloniki concert of the singer’s 30 Years anniversary, held on Thursday 11 June 2026. The title counts from April 1996, when his first album, Athoos Enochos, was released. The concert formed part of the 12th Forest Festival, which the State Theatre of Northern Greece opened on 20 May 2026 and ran across its stages until September.

Kotsiras played with the same band he took to the Theatro Vrachon in Athens that week. Akis Katsoupakis played keyboards and wrote the arrangements, with Vangelis Macheras on bouzouki, Kostas Michalos on guitars and Maria Michalaka on vocals and violin. Menta Art Events organised the production.

The Theatro Dasous, or Forest Theatre, is an open-air theatre of 3,894 seats on the slope of the Kedrinos Lofos in the Seich Sou forest. It became a permanent structure in 1976 to designs by Nikolaos Moutsopoulos and took its present form in a rebuilding for Thessaloniki’s year as European Capital of Culture in 1997.
