The Spetses Classic Yacht Regatta
The fourteenth Spetses Classic Yacht Regatta raced the Argosaronic from 26 to 28 June 2025 — classic and traditional wooden yachts under the Poseidonion Grand Hotel.
The Spetses Classic Yacht Regatta held its fourteenth edition from 26 to 28 June 2025, racing the waters of the Argosaronic Gulf around the island of Spetses. The regatta was first held in 2011. It is organised by the Yacht Club of Greece under the auspices of the Municipality of Spetses, with the Poseidonion Grand Hotel — the 1914 seafront building on the Spetses waterfront — serving as the shore base.
The fleet is drawn from classic boats, schooners and lateens, wooden hulls and traditional rigs whose preservation is the regatta’s stated purpose. In its larger years the event has drawn over seventy vessels and some four hundred crew from Greece and abroad. Handicap classes set historic hulls against spirit-of-tradition vessels. Prizes are presented on the Dapia waterfront.
