Nikos and Antonis Xylouris at the Theatro Vrachon

The Cretan brothers Nikos and Antonis Xylouris closed their summer 2025 appearances with a concert at the Theatro Vrachon Melina Merkouri in Vyronas on Wednesday 1 October 2025.

Nikos and Antonis Xylouris at the Theatro Vrachon was a single concert of Cretan music on Wednesday 1 October 2025, at the Theatro Vrachon Melina Merkouri in Vyronas. The two brothers billed it as the Athens close of their summer appearances. It was one of the last concerts of the 2025 Sti Skia ton Vrachon festival, which ended on 3 October.

The brothers belong to the Xylouris family of Anogeia in Crete. They are the sons of the musician Giorgis Xylouris and the grandsons of Psarantonis. They were born in Australia and grew up between Australia and Crete. Nikos plays the Cretan lyra and Antonis the laouto.

Giorgos Stavrakakis played laouto, and Valantis Kalogerakis played daoulaki and askomantoura, the Cretan bagpipe. Art Yard Productions organised the production. Three days before the concert, the brothers spoke about it on ERT’s Deftero Programma.
