The season-opening recital at Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall on 17 October 2025 featured the Lithuanian soprano Asmik Grigorian and the Russian-Lithuanian pianist Lukas Geniušas in a programme of Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff. Grigorian is known for her Salzburg Salome and her Puccini heroines; Geniušas is a laureate of both the Tchaikovsky and Chopin competitions. The programme was built around song repertoire rather than operatic repertoire, opening the 2025/26 season — built around the themes of voice and dance.
Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall opened in 1991 on Vasilissis Sofias Avenue and is Athens’s principal concert institution. Its Christos Lambrakis Hall is the larger of its two main auditoria. Tickets for the autumn months opened to the public on 8 September 2025.
