Lovers' Chorus
Tiago Rodrigues's Lovers' Chorus opened at the Onassis Stegi on 4 December 2025 — a two-voice chamber work with Nikos Karathanos and Marisha Triantafyllidou, running through mid-January 2026.
Lovers’ Chorus is a theatre work written and directed by Tiago Rodrigues, presented at the Onassis Stegi in Athens from 4 December 2025 through 18 January 2026 on the Upper Stage. Rodrigues is the Portuguese playwright and director who has led the Festival d’Avignon since 2022. The piece was made in artistic collaboration with Argyro Chioti and is performed by two actors, Nikos Karathanos and Marisha Triantafyllidou. It traces a couple through a life-threatening crisis in parallel monologues structured to sound as one voice.
The Onassis Stegi opened on Syngrou Avenue in 2010 as the Athens cultural house of the Onassis Foundation and is one of the city’s principal stages for contemporary theatre, dance and music. The December run followed an earlier sold-out season at the same house.
