The IRONMAN 70.3 Costa Navarino is an annual half-distance triathlon held on the Messinian coast of the southwestern Peloponnese. The 2025 edition took place on 26 October and drew more than twelve hundred athletes from some sixty countries. The course opened with a 1.9-kilometre swim in the sheltered waters of Gialova Bay, continued over a 90-kilometre bike course through the Messinian interior, and closed with a 21.1-kilometre run through Gialova village and along the Divari lagoon, the wetland that shelters one of the Mediterranean’s important migratory bird grounds.
The race is co-organised by euZHN feelósophy with the Region of Peloponnese, carried under the global IRONMAN franchise, with the Public Power Corporation as title sponsor and Costa Navarino as the official hospitality host. Costa Navarino is the Messinian resort estate developed by the Constantakopoulos family across dune, olive grove and the Bay of Navarino; it comprises the Romanos and Navarino Dunes properties. Olympia, Methoni and the Mycenaean palace of Nestor are within reach of the venue.
