Iron Maiden at the OAKA Olympic Stadium
Iron Maiden opened the 2026 Run For Your Lives World Tour at the Athens Olympic Stadium on Saturday 23 May 2026, before more than 50,000 people.
Iron Maiden at the OAKA Olympic Stadium was a single stadium concert given by the British band on Saturday 23 May 2026. It was the first date of the Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026, which marks 50 years of the band, and the tour moved on to Sofia three days later. Anthrax played as special guests.
The promoter, High Priority Promotions, put the crowd at more than 50,000. Simon Dawson played drums for Iron Maiden. Anthrax appeared with Darby Todd in place of their drummer Charlie Benante, who was committed to Pantera.
Iron Maiden opened with “Murders in the Rue Morgue” and played a set drawn from their early decades, with “Aces High”, “Fear of the Dark” and “Wasted Years” as the encore. “Infinite Dreams” replaced “The Clairvoyant” from the tour’s earlier leg, the first time the band had played it live since the late 1980s.
