The Historic Acropolis Rally

The classic-car counterpart to the Acropolis Rally ran 22–24 May 2026 from the Leonidas monument at Thermopylae to the foot of the Acropolis, opening the FIA European Historic Rally Championship gravel series.

The Historic Acropolis Rally is the classic-car counterpart to the Acropolis Rally, held annually in Central Greece, organised by the Hellenic Motor Sports Federation (OMAE). The 2026 edition ran from 22 to 24 May, opening the gravel series of the FIA European Historic Rally Championship, with the rally’s headquarters based in Lamia.

The route ran from a ceremonial start on Friday 22 May at Thermopylae, before the Leonidas monument, to a finish on Sunday 24 May at the foot of the Acropolis in Athens. The gravel sectors crossed Fthiotida, Phocis, Boeotia and Karditsa; the Saturday leg ran seven stages, including the long-running “Tarzan” stage. The competitive championship drew a record entry of sixty-three crews, and a separate regularity field of forty-three set out from Lamia.
