Dare to Dance / Try Not to Dance is a concert presented on the Alternative Stage of the Greek National Opera on Saturday 18 January 2025. The soprano and conductor Mata Katsouli led a sixteen-member string ensemble in a programme tracing the theme of rhythm, with works by Yasushi Akutagawa, Edvard Grieg, Wojciech Kilar, William Lloyd Webber and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
The Alternative Stage is the smaller of the two performance spaces the Greek National Opera maintains at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre in Kallithea, used for chamber, crossover and experimental work separate from the main Stavros Niarchos Hall.
