Giannis Haroulis at the Petra Theatre

Giannis Haroulis at the Petra Theatre was the Athens concert of the Cretan singer’s “Live Tour 2026”, held on Monday 15 June 2026 at 21:00. It formed part of the 2026 International Petra Festival, the summer and autumn programme of the Municipality of Petroupoli.

Haroulis played with Lefteris Andriotis on lyra, Giorgos Dousos on wind instruments, Vasilis Nissopoulos on bass, Sotiris Mavronasios on drums, Alekos Voulgarakis on guitar, Giorgos Angelakis on trombone and Tasos Valkanis on trumpet. Nikos Kechagias designed the lighting. The Athens date came a week after the tour opened at the Theatro Gis in Thessaloniki on 8 June.

The Petra Theatre occupies the former Aimos quarry in Petroupoli and was first used for performances in 1983, on the proposal of the director Minos Volanakis. Its main stage, named after him, was built in 1995 and seats 4,000. The festival has carried the name International Petra Festival since 2003.
