André Rieu at the OAKA Arena
The Dutch violinist and conductor André Rieu gave two concerts with his Johann Strauss Orchestra at the OAKA indoor arena on 14 and 15 March 2025.
André Rieu at the OAKA Arena was a pair of concerts given by the Dutch violinist and conductor on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 March 2025, in the indoor basketball arena of the Athens Olympic Sports Complex in Marousi. Rieu conducted his 60-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra and played his Stradivarius violin, with a repertoire running from ballads to waltzes.
The concerts were Rieu’s return to Athens after his two performances in the city the previous year. The first date was announced for 14 March, and after it sold out, a second concert on 15 March was announced in January 2025. The Athens dates were part of his 2025 European tour.
The Dutch singer Emma Kok appeared with Rieu on both nights. Her performance of “Voilà” at his 2023 open-air concerts on the Vrijthof in Maastricht, recorded for the release “Love is All Around”, made her known to his audience. The Athens production carried more than 300 performers and crew.
