Alkinoos Ioannidis at the Lycabettus Theatre
Alkinoos Ioannidis and his reunited band played a sold-out Lycabettus Theatre on Monday 21 September 2026.
Alkinoos Ioannidis at the Lycabettus Theatre was a single concert by the Greek singer-songwriter and his band on Monday 21 September 2026, in the City of Athens autumn programme at the hill theatre. The concert sold out. Ioannidis played for about two hours.
The concert came six years after the band reunited and 26 years after its first shows together, when it recorded the live album Ektos Topou kai Chronou. Ioannidis played electric guitar and sang, with Stavros Lantsias on keyboards, Miltiadis Papastamou on electric violin, Giotis Kiourtsoglou on electric bass and Michalis Kapilidis on drums. Vangelis Lappas and Vasilis Drougas were the sound engineers, and Maria Venetaki designed the lighting.
The set mixed his own songs with covers. He sang three songs by Dionysis Savvopoulos, whom he named as the inspiration for his start in song, and “Valte na Pioume” by the band Diafana Krina.
