Ikos Dassia lies on Corfu’s east coast, 20 minutes from Corfu Airport by road, and it was the Sani/Ikos group’s first investment on the island. The second, Ikos Odisia, opened across the same bay in June 2023. The grounds at Dassia run to 25 acres of gardens and pools, and the resort serves 600m of serviced sand, Blue Flag rated, lined with pines and olive groves.

Ikos Dassia holds 411 rooms, bungalows and villas, with the rooms and suites stacked into two main buildings called Sea and Sky and the gardens and pools laid out between them. The Heroes Crèche, a Kids Club and Just4Teens run through the day, and the evening runs from theatre and live music to a night club.

The property has eight restaurants: seven à la carte rooms, each to a menu written for it by a named chef, and one buffet. The wine list behind them is the work of the sommelier Nikolas Giannopoulos and runs past 100 labels. Dinner in Corfu Town, a round of golf, a museum ticket and a car for the day are included as well.

The tables

The line-up runs one room to a cuisine: Fresco for Italian, Provence for French, Ouzo for Greek, Anaya for Asian, Kerkyra for Corfu cooking with a twist, the Grill House for the chargrill, the Enoteca bistro and the Flavors buffet. Fresco’s menu is guided by the chef Ettore Botrini. Anaya’s was created by the chef Thiou. Provence sits in the Sky Building, looking over a pool to the sea, and takes its menu from Pascal Barbot, whose Paris flagship is Astrance. The hours between are carried by 10 bars, among them a wine bar, two adults-only pool bars and the night club, which runs to 1am. Every restaurant keeps an adults-only area of its own.

Sea and Sky

The two main buildings hold the rooms and the suites, from a 23 sqm double up through the superior doubles, the junior suites, the Panorama Junior Suite and the one-bedroom suites. The bungalow suites have an area to themselves, and the Deluxe Collection suites another, with a pool and a beach set apart from the rest. Deluxe Collection guests are given a dedicated concierge reachable on WhatsApp who books restaurants, childcare and spa treatments. At the head of the schedule is a three-bedroom beachfront villa, 170 sqm over two storeys, standing in a private garden of 2,000 sqm with a heated pool and an outdoor Jacuzzi. For the 2027 season that villa will take a new interior, in a neutral palette with open living spaces.

The spa, the courts and the golf

The Ikos Spa by Anne Semonin Paris has seven private treatment rooms, a heated indoor pool that looks out over the gardens, and a thermal suite of steam bath and sauna. The fitness studio beside it is open 24 hours, and the property runs two Anne Semonin spas in all. Outside are two floodlit tennis courts, with mini football and beach volleyball on the day’s programme, and a cruise goes out each evening at sunset. A round at Corfu Golf Club, over nine or 18 holes, is included once per stay, with equipment, buggy, green fee and transfers.

What the stay reaches off the property

The Dine Out programme books guests into two restaurants in Corfu Town and pays for the meal: Dora Fish Tavern by the New Port, 10km from the resort, and Agora by the Old Port, 14km away. The Culture Pass is a museum ticket to one of two places in the town, the Museum of Asian Art or the Old Fortress. Any guest can book a MINI Countryman for a full day at no charge, to drive to the island’s places of interest, and Deluxe Collection guests are given an electric one for two days.

Who is this for

Families who want one address to hold a whole week, and couples who want the quiet half of it. The resort sits low on a calm bay of the Ionian, framed by woodland, its terraces of restaurants and pools stepping down to the sand. Guests over 16 have a designated quiet stretch of beach, and the gym and the spa to themselves. The pace is unhurried, the lobby bars open at 8am, and dinner is a walk across the gardens rather than a drive.
