Atrium Prestige sits directly on the seafront at Lachania, south-east Rhodes, 17km from Prasonisi, the island’s southernmost point, where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean. It is the southernmost of the three houses one family owns and runs on the island.
The resort has 251 rooms, suites, bungalows and villas. More than 60 of them have a pool of their own, and the buildings step down the hillside amphitheatrically, so the water stays in view from one tier to the next.
The beach below the resort flies the Blue Flag, Lachania’s award on the 2026 international list. That list, reported on 15 May 2026, gave Rhodes 28 flags in all. The group’s own account is that the award comes every year, for Lachania here and for Kalathos at the Palace.
The full name of the house is Atrium Prestige Thalasso Spa Resort & Villas, and the spa in the middle of it is the Ananeosis Thalasso Spa. Thalassotherapy means it works seawater into its treatments, here combined with traditional Mediterranean remedies.
Rooms, bungalows and villas
A personal pool starts well down the house’s list, at the Deluxe Sea View Room with Personal Pool, 39 sq m with a pool of 17 sq m, and carries on up through the bungalows, the beach rooms and the beach suites. The largest unit is the Presidential Beach Villa, 350 sq m, 80 sq m pool, for up to six guests over two levels. Its ground floor is a grand lounge room opening onto a furnished main deck above the sea, where that pool sits, and a separate dining and kitchen area leads out to a second deck with a pool of 15 sq m. Above are two master bedrooms with balconies, a third lounge and sleeping area, and a master bathroom with a whirlpool Jacuzzi. The Ambassador villas run to 170 sq m over two bedrooms and 205 sq m over three, each with a heated pool of 20 sq m.
The Signature Collection
The Signature Collection is the group’s set of signature suites and villas, and at the Prestige it reaches down the list as far as the Platinum Beach Room. Every guest in it is met at check-in with a glass of Moët & Chandon, and finds a welcome offer in the room, upgraded bathroom amenities and a beach bag. The airport meet and greet, a beach or pool area with a cabana, a floating breakfast in the private pool, a private dinner area in the gourmet restaurants, upgraded in-room dining and a dedicated concierge and reservations agent belong to the Ambassador and Presidential suites and villas alone.
Ananeosis Thalasso Spa
Ananeosis is a modern thalassotherapy centre, and the architecture and decor around it are classical. Seawater is the method, in a marine restoring experience, an aquatic body-sculpting ritual and a marine tailor-made facial, while the wider menu runs to facials, anti-ageing treatments, body rituals and a beauty salon. A couple can take any facial or body therapy from the a la carte menu in the private suite for two, which has showers, two treatment beds and its own Jacuzzi. Past the treatment rooms there is a wet area with water jets and a hydro jet shower, a sauna, and a heated pool with a Jacuzzi connected to it. The spa opens from 10.30am to 7pm, and children under 14 are not admitted.
Dining
Dining is spread across the site: two gourmet restaurants, three poolside a la carte, a main restaurant, three bars. The seafront gourmet room is called Thalassa, after the Greek word for the sea, and it cooks fresh seafood looking out at the Aegean. The second gourmet room, Asia, works pan-Asian dishes with ingredients from Rhodes. Beside the pool are Prestigio for Italian food, Lachania for Greek, named after the village a short drive away, and Grill Corner for souvlaki, lamb chops and vegetables on the grill. The main restaurant, Aegean, serves all day from an open terrace facing the horizon. The bars are Kallithea, the main one, with live music in the evening, H₂O by the pool and Akteon on the shore.
The rest of the site
Away from the table, the site has a gym, tennis courts, an outdoor theatre and a PADI dive centre. A Gelateria on the ground level of the pool area makes waffles, crepes and gelato.
The family that runs it
Atrium Hotels & Resorts is family owned and family run, with three resorts on Rhodes, set in the three parts of the island it points guests to: Rhodes City and the medieval town, Lindos, and the south, where the Prestige is. The group recruits locally and says most of its people stay with it until they retire. It also states that all of its energy comes from renewable sources.
Who is this for
This suits a traveller who wants to arrive once and not move again, and it suits a family. There are wellness sessions built for a parent and child together, and the family suites add a separate lounge or sleeping area. The sunrise comes up over the water here, and from a personal pool you can watch it unobstructed. For anyone who would rather be back from the sand there are garden-view rooms and junior suites, and the gardens supply the fruit and vegetables the kitchens cook.
