Takis 1∞ is a retrospective exhibition of the Greek sculptor Panayiotis Vassilakis, known as Takis (1925–2019), held at the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation from 22 June to 2 November 2025 across its museums in Athens and on Andros. The show marks the centenary of the artist’s birth. It was the first time in the Foundation’s history that every space given to temporary exhibition was devoted to a single artist.
The Athens galleries presented the magnetic sculptures, installations and the 1960 performance The Impossible — A Man in Space. The Andros presentation reopened the museum’s renovated Old Wing for the Signals series and traced his evolution from 1946 to 2019 in the New Wing. Takis began working with magnetism in 1959 and established his own foundation in 1986.
The retrospective was curated by Marie Koutsomallis-Moreau, the Foundation’s Head of Collections, with Toby Kamps of the Hamburger Kunsthalle.
