The concert was her first at the hall and fell within Jazz @ Megaron, a series the Athens Concert Hall Organisation ran for a fourth consecutive year, pairing Greek ensembles with visiting international artists across the late-autumn weeks.
Kent is a Grammy-nominated singer who works in English, French, Portuguese and additional languages, with a repertoire spanning American standards and bossa nova. Songs written for her by the novelist Kazuo Ishiguro form part of her catalogue. The same November programme included the bassist Richard Bona with the pianist Alfredo Rodríguez.
