The Athens Photo Festival is the Hellenic Centre for Photography’s annual photography festival, held at the Benaki Museum / Pireos 138 in Athens. Founded in 1987 by Stavros Moresopoulos as the International Month of Photography in Athens, it is Greece’s longest-running photography festival. The 2026 edition runs from 10 June to 26 July.

The main exhibition occupies approximately 3,000 square metres across the Pireos Street building, with works by seventy artists from twenty-eight countries. The programme includes photographic prints, projections, installations, artists’ publications, archival material and performances, and addresses themes of memory, archive, kinship, place and displacement, and the body.

The festival’s parallel programme includes the Young Greek Photographers exhibition, a photobook programme, portfolio reviews, screenings, and satellite shows across the city. The opening evening on 10 June begins at eight o’clock and carries free admission.
